Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Harvard Street by Windsor Street. As a result of the stop, a Needham resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for allowing operation of a motor vehicle with revoked registration and allowing operation of a vehicle without insurance.

Cambridge Police responded to an assault with a knife at a convenience store on Massachusetts Avenue. Tyrick Cannon, 55, homeless, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after cutting an employee with an edge weapon.

A motor vehicle took an illegal left turn from Hampshire Street onto Cambridge Street. The operator of this motor vehicle – Oatis Williams, 17 Duke Street Apart 2 in Lynn –had a warrant out of Lynn District Court for operating with a suspended license.

Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Prospect Street for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian refused medical attention.

OUI-LIQUOR

AMES ST
Donald Pimental, 61, 84 Ring Road in Plympton, was arrested for an OUI at Ames Street. Officers responded to two separate reports of motor vehicle operating recklessly on Mass Avenue near Memorial Drive. MIT Police officers eventually stopped the vehicle at Ames Street. The vehicle was missing the front bumper and had heavy damage to the rest of the front end. The operator, later identified as Donald Pimental, had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath, he had slurred speech along with glassy eyes. Pimental participated in and failed field sobriety tests.

A resident of Dorchester was summonsed for a motor vehicle violation. They were charged and issued a criminal complaint for operating a motor vehicle on a public way with revoked registration as a result of not having insurance.

ELECTRONIC MESSAGE, OPERATOR SEND/READ C90 S13B

CONCORD AVE
A black Subaru was seen operating on Smith Place in Cambridge. The operator was observed holding a cell phone up and looking at the screen while driving. The motor vehicle was stopped on Concord Avenue. The registration for the motor vehicle was revoked for insurance. The motor vehicle was towed and the operator was issued a criminal application for all offenses.
