A resident of an apartment building on Cambridge Street called CPD to report a breaking and entering into his neighbor's apartment. Units arrived on scene and confirmed a breaking and entering had occurred. Officers observed the apartment entry door, which appeared to have been propped open. While on scene, officers located the resident and the owner of the apartment that had been broken into by an unknown suspect. The unknown suspect rummaged through closets and drawers in various rooms in the apartment. The breaking and entering reportedly occurred sometime between the hours of 9:40 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. on 1/10/17. Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Unit responded to process the scene.

STOP FOR POLICE, FAIL c90 S25

BINNEY ST
Junior Chavez, 21, was arrested for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Stop for Police, and Resisting Arrest. Chavez attempted to drive his vehicle the wrong way on Binney Street and did not stop when police activated the emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle. A short vehicle pursuit ensued and Chavez committed four traffic violations during that pursuit. Chavez crashed his vehicle, exited the vehicle, ignored commands from police to stop, and then fled on foot from police. He was quickly apprehended by other assisting police units who were in the area. Four empty beer cans were discovered in the crashed vehicle that Chavez fled. Once identified, it was discovered that Chavez was unlicensed and therefore was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
