01/25/2017 07:20 INCIDENT 17000516 | MASSACHUSETTS AVE Ricardo Gomes, 56, 349 N Peral Street in Brockton, was arrested for assaulting a maintenance worker on Brattle Street in Cambridge. The worker was assaulted with a knife, brick, and cup of hot coffee after the worker asked him to leave a doorway, which was posted "No Trespassing." After searching the area, Gomes was located and arrested outside of a local coffee shop. |

Upon arrival, an investigation revealed that a Brighton resident caused the crash and was operating a motor vehicle on public way maintained by the City of Cambridge without a valid driver's license. As a result, they were issued a Mass. Uniform Citation and were summonsed to Cambridge District Court for operating a motor vehicle on a public way without a valid license. |

01/25/2017 20:39 INCIDENT 17000542 LARCENY UNDER $250 BY FALSE PRETENSE c266 S34 | MASSACHUSETTS AVE Markell Cruz, 27, 454 Medford Street in Medford, was arrested for Trespassing, Larceny under False Pretense Under $100.00 and Resisting Arrest. Cambridge Police responded to a local pharmacy located at Massachusetts Avenue for a person refusing to leave the store. Upon police arrival, management reported that Cruz attempted to return items that were stolen from a pharmacy and brought to another pharmacy to obtain a refund utilizing a receipt from another store. Police asked Cruz to leave the store and refuse. When police asked to identified himself Cruz refused. Police advised Cruz that he was under arrest. During the arrest process, Cruz refused to place his hands behind his back. After a short struggle, Cruz was successfully placed in handcuffs without further incident. |
