A Cambridge resident reports that an unknown suspect stole his bicycle rack off the roof of his vehicle, which was parked at Dudley Street near Montgomery Street. The crime occurred sometime between March 21 at 6 p.m. and March 22 at 8:30 a.m.

MEMORIAL DR
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Memorial Drive for hit-and-run property damage report, which involved a motor vehicle and loading truck. A Cambridge resident reported that she was stopped at a red light when her vehicle was struck and damaged by a loading truck. She further stated that the driver of the loading truck failed to make themselves known and kept driving.

A local Cambridge resident came to the front desk of the police station to report that he was the victim of fraud. The resident states that he ordered footwear from a website and paid with an online pay service. A few days later he received a package from the seller, but there were no shoes in the package.

UNIVERSITY RD
Cambridge Police responded to University Road for a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Both vehicles sustained damage but were able to be driven away from the scene after paperwork was exchanged. Medical attention was offered but declined.

SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE / EOD INVESTIGATION

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police were dispatched to Massachusetts Avenue for an unattended tan backpack in front of this location. There were no threats made or any other suspicious activity involving the backpack. An officer took out a CPD K9 and swept the surrounding area and presented the backpack and the K9 didn't show a change of behavior or alert on the backpack. The backpack contained clothing and personnel papers and was taken back to the station to be placed in property until the owner is located.

Cambridge Police responded to Loss Prevention located at a department store for a detained shoplifter. Analiciya Rich, 19, 1398 River in Hyde Park, was placed under arrest after attempting to conceal $358.50 worth of merchandise as well as having tin foil wrapped over the electronic devices on some the clothing.
