The Cambridge Police are currently investigating reports of gunshots that occurred early this morning in the area of Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street.
Following multiple reports of gunshots, Cambridge Police quickly responded to the area of Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street at approximately 2:09 a.m. Officers with the Cambridge Police searched the area and located and recovered two shell casings on the ground at the intersection of Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street. There are currently no reported injuries or victims.
A resident reported observing a motor vehicle – possibly a sedan -- leaving the area towards Kendall Square after the gunshots were fired.
Anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300. An increased police presence will be maintained in the area as the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
