Cambridge Traffic Impacts This Weekend

Please note that there are a series of event-related road closures and traffic impacts that will affect residents this weekend.

  • The Longfellow Bridge will be closed on Friday, September 8 from 11 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 and on Sunday, September 10 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for scheduled work as part of the ongoing rehabilitation program.

  • The Italian Feast of the Healing Saints Cosmas and Damian is being held September 8-10, and the following street closures will take place during the day: Warren Street, Porter Street from Warren to Bedford, and Macarelli Way. Parts of Cambridge Street will also be intermittently impacted.

  • The 15th Annual Port Community Pride Day is taking place on Saturday, September 9 from 12-5 p.m. at Clement Morgan Park. The following roads will be closed between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Columbia Street from Bishop Allen Drive to Washington Street (in front of Clement Morgan Park).

  • The Harvard Graduate Council Welcome Back Event is scheduled for Saturday, September 9. Winthrop Street, Winthrop Park will be closed from 2-6 p.m.

  • The Cambridge Carnival and Parade is scheduled for Sunday, September 10. To review the map, parade route, road closures, and parking restrictions, please visit http://camb.ma/2wLvGiJ.
