Cambridge Police arrested Taquan Anderson, 26, 402 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, on a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Larceny from a Building, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Breaking and Entering Nighttime for Felony and Malicious Destruction of Property $250+.

Cambridge Police were conducting traffic enforcement on Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. Officers observed a Chevy Malibu run a red light. It was discovered that the vehicle's registration was revoked for insurance purposes. A Mattapan resident was summonsed to court for the following offenses Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and a Red light Violation.

LARCENY OVER $250 BY SINGLE SCHEME c266 S30

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Andres Benejan, 48, 28 First Street in New York, NY, was arrested for Larceny Over $250 by Single Scheme, Utter False Document, Forge/Misuse of RMV Document, and Receiving Stolen Credit Card. Benejan was arrested after he attempted to use a forged New York Driver's License - which had Benejan's photo but a different person's information - to withdraw $1,110.00. During the attempted transaction, Benejan forged a bank withdrawal slip and presented it to the bank with a name that matched a New York Driver's License, but did not match Andres Benejan. It was discovered during investigation that Benejan had stolen $5,590 using the same scheme from two banks located in Boston earlier today. During the search incident to arrest, $2,900 was recovered. Under Miranda, Benejan stated that the money in his wallet, $420, was money from his Social Security check and the remaining money was from a bank in Boston.
