Gale Lewis-Clifton, 61, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, was arrested for trespassing. Cambridge Police units were performing a direct patrol at a coffee shop on Massachusetts Avenue for homeless loitering and found a female later identified as Ms. Lewis-Clifton sleeping inside the store. After she was told to leave the establishment, she became very argumentative, belligerent and aggressive. As she was exiting the establishment, she was advised that she was not welcome back to the store as she has been trespass in the past multiple times by the manager. She then returned into the establishment and spat in my direction but missed me. Ms. Lewis-Clifton was placed under arrest at this time.

Cambridge Police responded to Mass Ave for a possible shoplifting. Store employees were able to detain an individual who stole a television on this date. After speaking with the staff and observing security footage it was discovered that the male stole a television and duffle bag on 3/7/18. The male then returned and stole a television on 3/8/18. Staff stated while stealing one TV, the male removed a theft detection device with a pair of scissors. Colby Scott 58, homeless, was placed under arrest for three counts of shoplifting and one count of unlawful removal of a theft detection device.

A delivery driver reports that while traveling northbound on Broadway, a passenger vehicle damaged its side-view mirror while attempting to over pass his delivery truck. Passenger vehicle operator pulled over but refused to exchange insurance information and left the scene. Delivery truck sustained no damages and no injuries reported.

While conducting traffic enforcement on Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge Police officers queried the status of a motor vehicle. The registered owner had a suspended license. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and confirmed that the operator was the registered owner of the vehicle. Tarell Fortune, 26, of 216 Franklin Street, Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Operating after License Suspension.

A resident of Plymouth was summonsed for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating Without License in Possession. Police responded to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Plympton Street for a report of a two car motor vehicle crash with no injuries. Upon arrival, police spoke to the operator of one of the vehicles who stated that she did not have her license in her possession, but did have her passport. Police found that her MA driver's license was expired as of 3/05/2018. She stated that she was aware of her license being expired and had planned on renewing it on 3/12/2018.

John Chute, 38, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge was placed under arrest for Attempt to Commit a Crime (B&E to a Motor Vehicle in the Nighttime with intent to Commit a Felony). Officers were searching the area for a male matching Chute's description for an unrelated incident and observed Chute walking down Pearl Street. Officers watched as Chute attempted to gain access to two different motor vehicles by pulling on the door handles.
