An employee of a local shelter called to report that some unknown substance was sprayed inside of their building causing people to choke, get teary eyed and sneeze. A suspicious person left the building shortly after this occurred. The Cambridge Fire Department responded and cleared the building of any harmful chemicals. The occupants were then allowed to return inside. A description of the suspicious person was given out to surrounding units.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Harvard Street near Portland Street. As a result of a subsequent investigation, Che Meranda, 26, 20 Mascot in Boston was placed under arrest for the following charges: speeding greater than reasonable, operating a motor vehicle (motorcycle) with a revoked license status, attaching license plates, receiving stolen motor vehicle (motorcycle), possession of counterfeit currency and for possession of a lost credit card.
