CPD Investigating Early Morning Gunshots in Area of Norfolk Street and Bishop Allen Drive

The Cambridge Police are currently investigating reports of gunshots that occurred early this morning in the area of Norfolk Street and Bishop Allen Drive.

Following a ShotSpotter activation and calls to the Emergency Communications Department, Cambridge Police responded to Norfolk Street early this morning at approximately 2:45 a.m. for a report of multiple gunshots. Cambridge Police canvassed the area and were able to locate seven shell casings outside of 47 Bishop Allen Drive. There are currently no reported injuries or victims.

Reporting parties indicated at least two people arguing prior to the gunshots.

Anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call the Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300. The Cambridge Police will have an increased presence in the area as the investigation into this incident and other similar incidents, including the recovery of shell casings outside 106-108 Columbia Street on April 16, 2018, are ongoing.
