A Cambridge resident called to report that a suspect was attempting to break into their apartment on Brewer Street by opening the rear window and trying the back door. Shukry Juma, 27, of 41 Corey Street, Charlestown, was identified and arrested on scene for the Attempted Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime, as well as a warrant out of Somerville District Court for Larceny from Building.

Ronald Meadows, 52, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, was arrested for Assault and Battery With Dangerous Weapon on the corner of Mass Ave and Western Avenue. The victim, who positively identified Meadows, stated he ripped his metal cane out of his hand during an argument and struck him in the head several times causing a bump on the side of the victims head.

Paul Miller-Bowen, 57, of 100 Huntington Avenue, Boston, was arrested at a commercial establishment in Central Square for trespassing. Mr. Miller-Bowen was asked to leave the premises numerous times by the store manager in the presence of the police and he refused.

Cambridge Police responded to a hotel for a larceny report. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the former director of finance for the hotel had transferred approximately $16,998.23 from the hotel's revenue account into his own personal bank account. These transactions were all conducted between July 2017 and January 2018.

A Columbia Street resident reports that, on 6/2, as she was walking down Norfolk Street, an unknown male came out of nowhere and grabbed her foot. She reports that she yelled at the suspect and the suspect ran down Suffolk Street. No injury reported.

Cambridge Police responded to a bank on Massachusetts Avenue for a flim flam report. An investigation revealed that a bank customer attempted to cash out a fraudulent check in the amount of $2500 while making an initial deposit into his personal account.

Cambridge Police responded to Allston Street for a Breaking and Entering report. An investigation revealed that a Hispanic male, described as being in his 20s, wearing a red coat, with black curly hair, used an unknown object to pry open the side window of the residence. The suspect fled the scene prior to Cambridge Police arrival and a search of the area for the suspect was met with negative results.

Cambridge Police responded to a Cambridgeside Place business for a reported shoplifting in progress. A short time later, Cambridge Police located and placed Wayne Randall, 31, of 601 Willow Street, W. Yarmouth, under arrest for a single count of shoplifting by asportation, a single count of receiving stolen property under $1200, and a warrant out of Somerville District Court for shoplifting by asportation.

While conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Main Street and Portland Street, officers observed a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. When the operator was stopped and identified, he presented an expired California license. A standard check of the operator also revealed the registration had been revoked for insurance cancellation. The operator was summoned for an expired inspection sticker, operating unlicensed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating after revocation of registration.

Cambridge Police responded to a retail store at the CambridgeSide Galleria in regards to a suspicious person. The suspect attempted to steal clothes today before he apparently got "spooked.". Loss prevention employees stated that this suspect has stolen approximately $1,805.92 worth of merchandise from the store on five different occasions (dating back to September 2017). On those five instances, he is caught on surveillance cameras concealing merchandise and exiting the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. He is being summonsed to court for Larceny Over $1,200 By Single Scheme.
