Gaetano Cavallaro, 57, of 440 Harrison Avenue, Boston, was placed under arrest after he was found to have a warrant out of Boston District Court for two separate counts of Assault and Battery on Ambulance Personnel. Cambridge Police had initially responded to a report of a shoplifting in Central Square and detained a suspect who was identified as Cavallaro.

Cambridge Police responded to a Garden Street address to document an attempted scam by telephone. The reporting person stated that she received a telephone call from an unknown suspect claiming to be an officer from another country. During their conversation, this unknown suspect ordered the reporting person to submit various personal information along with her bank information.

Donald Gallo, 38, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Armed Robbery after he assaulted the victim and then forcefully took his backpack from him. When the victim followed him to retrieve the backpack, Gallo pulled out a black and gray box cutter, extended the blade and walked with a purpose towards the victim. At this time, officers arrived on scene and intervened.

A Cambridge resident reported that, while operating her motor vehicle on JFK Street, a white male operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle punched the driver’s side mirror of the motor vehicle, breaking the mirror. The suspect then fled the scene on the motorcycle.

Cambridge Police responded to a Remington Street hotel to document a malicious destruction report. A hotel employee stated that an unknown suspect rented a room and spent the night at the hotel. The unknown suspect vandalized the room he rented and caused damage to the property inside of the room. This suspect is also responsible for unpaid hotel fees.
