At 2:05 p.m., the Explosive Ordnance Unit responded to a call of an unattended backpack. A K9 assisted in clearing the bag, which was determined to contain gym clothing. The bag contained nothing of value and no owner information. The bag was disposed of in a dumpster at the Department of Public Works.

The security director at a school reported that, between 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on July 17, a male approached several female parents’ parked cars and asked them if they could exit their cars so he could take pictures of their feet. The suspect was described as a black male in his twenties or thirties driving a black Lexus.

At 10:40 p.m., Marc Jacobs, 31, homeless, was arrested and charged with Larceny under $1200 after officers observed him at a Massachusetts Avenue business placing over four hundred dollars of electronic equipment into his backpack and attempting to exit the store.

WARRANT ARREST REPORT

BRISTOL STREET

During a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle driving without headlights, the passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, provided a fake driver’s license and lied to officers about his identity. Upon further investigation, the passenger was identified as Anthony Riley, 28, 140 Harvard Street 3, and was placed under arrest for multiple active warrants. He is also being charged with Possession False RMV Document and Failure to Wear Seat Belt.
