Officers responded to a White Street business for a report of an assault. After speaking with both parties, officers learned that a verbal disagreement had occurred between the two during which one of the individuals claimed they were physically assaulted by the other.

MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE

Officers observed a motor vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue playing music on its stereo at such a high volume that passersby were stopping to look at the vehicle and a traffic jam was forming. After officers stopped the vehicle, it was discovered that the driver was not licensed. Jeferson Dasilva, 29, 3 Isabella Street 2, Quincy, was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

BRATTLE STREET

Police and medical units responded to a crash involving two vehicles with injuries at the intersection of Brattle Street and Eliot Street. One vehicle had stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross in the crosswalk and was rear-ended by the other vehicle. Both parties refused medical attention at the scene.

DECATUR STREET

At approximately 4:08 a.m., officers responded to a Decatur Street residence for a breaking and entering in progress. A suspect had cut and removed the screen in the side window and removed the lower window pane, and the homeowners’ car keys and vehicle had been stolen. Shortly after 5:00 a.m., officers located the stolen vehicle and a suspect nearby in possession of the stolen car keys. Spencer Santos, 23, 21 Valentine Street 5, was placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering Nighttime for Felony, Larceny of Motor Vehicle, and Unarmed Burglary. Mr. Santos also had a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Breaking and Entering Daytime for Felony.

A locked bicycle had been stolen from the backyard of a residential complex sometime between 11:00 p.m. July 26 and 5:00 p.m. July 27, and the fence it was locked to had been damaged. The bicycle is described as a black-gray FUJI hybrid.

The bicycle was locked to the railing, and the suspect damaged the railing while removing it.
