A resident of Belmont reported that, after they unintentionally left a window in their vehicle down, an unknown suspect had stolen electronic items and a black bag with “Wentworth” printed on it from the vehicle. The theft occurred while the vehicle was parked on Appian Way between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. on July 29.

Officers responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was stolen while locked to a bicycle rack in front of City Hall. It is described as a black Cannondale with white lettering and a rack on the back.

An unknown suspect broke the fence and took the bicycle. The bicycle is described as a blue hybrid Trek FX. A neighbor reportedly heard noises outside on the night of the theft around 2:00 a.m.
