A resident of Medford was issued an application for criminal complaint for Allowing Improper Operation of Motor Vehicle.

A resident of Cambridge reported their bicycle stolen. The bicycle was locked to a bike rack on Brattle Street and was removed between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. It is described as silver and black in color with a wicker basket on the front and “Jaguar” printed on the frame.

A resident of Cambridge reported their debit card stolen from a business on Massachusetts Avenue around 2:00 p.m. Two fraudulent charges were made later in the day.

At approximately 1:42 p.m., officers responded to a River Street grocery store for a shoplifting report. An individual was observed attempting to steal food products from the store. When confronted by a loss prevention officer, the suspect fled on foot and then drove away in a van.

After a traffic stop, officers discovered that a motor vehicle’s registration had been revoked and that the operator, who was not the owner of the vehicle, had a suspended license. The Boston resident who owns the vehicle was summonsed for Allowing Improper Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Registration Suspended or Revoked.

Officers responded for a report of a fight in progress in the area of Franklin Street Park. While preparing to leave after clearing the area, officers were informed by several residents that they had seen a group of young black males drop a backpack on Bay Street. The unidentified red backpack was located and checked into the property office at the police station.
