Officers responded to a construction site on Cambridge Street for a report of a larceny that occurred between 3:00 p.m. August 10 and 6:00 a.m. August 13. Over $4300 worth of supplies were stolen.

A resident of Cambridge reported that their motor vehicle was broken into by unknown means between 3:00 p.m. August 11 and 7:30 a.m. August 13. The vehicle, which was parked on Warren Street, was undamaged and possibly accessed via an unlocked door. A small amount of loose change may have been taken.

A resident of Cambridge reported their bicycle stolen from a street sign at Massachusetts Avenue and Chauncy Street where it was locked. The bicycle was removed between 9:00 p.m. August 12 and 8:00 a.m. August 13. It is described as a black and yellow Jamis Coda mountain bike.

A Brighton resident reported being swindled out of $800 at approximately 6:00 p.m. August 12. The victim was approached in Harvard Square by a male suspect who asked them to cash a check for him due to an emergency. After depositing the check and giving the suspect $800 in cash, the victim received a notice from their bank that the check was flagged as a false document.

Members of the Area Four Gun Violence Task Force arrested Lens Altidor, 18, 35 Cherry Street 3, in regards to a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Bicycle Violation Refuse to Identify and Bicycle Violation. Altidor was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class D Drug after officers discovered suspected marijuana and items consistent with street-level distribution on his person.

Officers responded to a Massachusetts Avenue business for a shoplifting that occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. A white male suspect and a black male suspect were observed fleeing the store with two bottles of liquor onto Massachusetts Avenue in the direction of Porter Square.
