CAMBRIDGE STREET

Brian Coakley, 25, 52 Mount Hope Street, Dedham, was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon after smashing a bottle over a victim’s head during a dispute in a bar. Coakley fled the scene and was apprehended down the street. The victim was transported to a Boston hospital via ambulance with severe lacerations to the face.

A resident of Leighton Street reported that an unknown suspect slashed all four tires of their rented motor vehicle while it was parked inside their building’s resident-only parking garage. The vehicle was damaged between approximately 12:00 and 9:00 a.m.

Officers responded to the intersection of Columbia Street and Market Street for a crash involving a cyclist striking a parked motor vehicle’s door. The door had reportedly been open for several minutes before the cyclist struck it.

A Cambridge resident reported the theft of their bicycle while it was locked on Magazine Street between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. August 18. The bicycle is described as a black and silver JAMIS hybrid model with a removable front headlight.

Michael Bonislawski, 52, 22 Water Street 720, was observed on the street by members of the Port Gun Violence Task Force and placed under arrest for warrants out of Cambridge District Court. The charges include Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Intimidating a Witness, and Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1200.

MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE

Officers responded to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Pearl Street for a report of two pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle with minor injuries. A citation for Failure to Yield was issued to the driver of the vehicle. Neither of the pedestrians required transportation to the hospital.

Drepdoa Lago, 21, 49 Beech Glen, Boston, was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery, Disturbing the Peace, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. Lago was apprehended after slapping an individual, chasing this individual to a train station, and verbally assaulting many people on the train station platform. A fixed-blade silver kitchen knife was found in his pocket upon his arrest.

Officers responded to Milton to recover a stolen Vespa that had been located in that city. The owner of the Vespa was on vacation when it disappeared, so a stolen vehicle report had not yet been taken. The Vespa sustained damage to the ignition and front headlight and the battery was stolen.

During a motor vehicle stop, Jailson Barros, 19, 21 Adams Street, Boston, was placed under arrest for receiving stolen property. Barros had been operating a moped and was unable to provide a valid license or registration when stopped. Officers checked the VIN number on the moped and discovered that it had been reported stolen out of Boston.
