At approximately 4:15 a.m., officers responded to a Harvard Square business
to speak with a victim of an armed robbery. The victim, who is homeless, was
trying to go to sleep on the sidewalk when they were approached by a group of
individuals, including a female suspect known to them. One of the male
suspects brandished a knife and hit the victim with a metal chair on the side
of their face. The group proceeded to rummage through the victim’s
belongings, taking $40 and a cell phone. Two males matching the descriptions
given by the victim were located a short distance away by responding officers,
and the two female suspects were located by officers responding to an
unrelated alarm call. The victim positively identified all four suspects.
Courtland Hall, 18, 147 Willow Street; Darren Jones, 24, 112 South Hampton
Street, Boston; Kathryn McCallan, 35, homeless; and Tiffany Savage, 45, 85
Harvey Street, were all arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. As the defendant
who allegedly brandished a knife and hit the victim with a metal chair, Hall
also faces a charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. The
victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

Officers responded for an alarm at a North Cambridge business. Upon arrival,
an employee of the store reported that, around 1:00 p.m., three teenagers
entered, cut the security cords on three iPhones, and fled the store on foot towards
New Street.

A resident of Normandy Terrace reported their iPhone stolen from their home.
The victim had opened their front doors while moving boxes, left the phone at
the top of the basement stairs, and forgotten about it. The phone was removed
from the residence between approximately 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.

resident of Bristol Street discovered damage to their front doorknob that
occurred between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. August 20. The reporting party
believed someone may have been attempting to break into their residence.

A resident of Cambridge reported being targeted by a phone scam. The
reporting party received a phone call at approximately 3:00 p.m. from an
individual with a heavy foreign accent of unknown origin. The caller stated
that the reporting party had won a large amount of money, but that they would
have to purchase gift cards in order to receive the grant. The reporting
party was familiar with this type of scam and terminated the phone call. No monetary
loss was incurred.

A resident of Auburn Park reported their bicycle stolen from a bicycle post
outside their apartment building. The bicycle, which is described as a
single-gear model with a lime green body and yellow handlebars, was locked to
the post between August 12 and August 19. The lock had been cut and left
behind when the bicycle was removed.

lock was broken and left on the ground where the bicycle had been. The

Officers responded to a Western
Avenue residence for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. A male
suspect was located within the residence and found to be in possession of
items belonging to the homeowner. Scarly Vilme, 30, 33 Belden Street 2,
Dorchester, was placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering in the Daytime
and Larceny Under $1200. The homeowner was reunited with all of their
personal belongings prior to police departure.

entering to a Massachusetts Avenue apartment building at approximately 1:00
a.m. August 17. The reporting party viewed a male suspect climbing the fire
escape ladder. No breaking and entering incidents were reported in the
building and the residents have been alerted to this event.
