Police and medical units responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle in the area of the Alewife MBTA station. Witnesses stated that the vehicle was not travelling with excessive speed. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening bruises and abrasions.

Officers responded to Central Square for a report of an unarmed robbery. A resident of Cambridge reported that he was using his new iPhone XS Max when an unknown male took it from his hand and fled. The suspect was struck by a car at Green and Magazine Streets and continued running up Magazine Street. The suspect is described as a thin black male, approximately 20 years old, wearing all black clothing and a red hat.

Officers responded to the area of Cambridge and Quincy Streets for a report of a hit and run with property damage. The reporting party’s vehicle was rear-ended at a red light. Both parties exited their vehicles and the suspect offered the reporting party cash or tickets to an event, while the reporting party insisted on exchanging information. When the suspect returned to his car, presumably to retrieve his registration, he fled the scene.

The driver was issued a citation for Speeding and Unsafe Operation of a Motor Vehicle and was transported to the hospital via ambulance for further evaluation.
