CONCORD AVENUE

A group of Concord Avenue residents reported a burglary that occurred while they were asleep in their apartment between 11:00 p.m. on October 22 and 7:00 a.m. on October 23. An unknown suspect entered the apartment through an unlocked rear door and stole six laptop computers, two fountain pens, a backpack, and some cash.

After a lengthy investigation, Matthew Devine, 39, 43 Seven Pines Avenue in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Use of Body Armor in the Commission of a Felony, three counts of Possession of a Firearm Silencer, three counts of Illegal Possession of an Assault Rifle, six counts of Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and twenty-six counts of Possession of a Firearm Without FID Card. Immediately prior to Devine’s arrest, search warrants were served on his residence and another address where he had stored firearms.

A resident of Somerville reported her wallet stolen while in Harvard Square. Numerous fraudulent charges had been made to her credit cards at nearby stores before the reporting party realized her wallet was gone and cancelled the cards.

A resident of Cambridge reported his bicycle stolen from a bike rack outside a store on White Street. The bicycle, which is described as a gray Specialized Sirrus model, was taken between approximately 7:00 p.m. on October 19 and 6:00 p.m. on October 23.

Officers responded to the Harvard Square area for a report of a larceny of a motor vehicle. The reporting party’s gray Acura was parked at Appian Way and Brattle Street in the morning and discovered to be missing at approximately 6:30 p.m. The vehicle was parked in a handicap space and displays a valid handicap plaque hanging from the rearview mirror.
