A resident of Cambridge reported hit and run damage to his vehicle that occurred in traffic on Massachusetts Avenue at Clarendon Avenue. The suspect operator struck the reporting party’s vehicle while switching lanes and drove away when the reporting party stopped to exchange paperwork.

Billie Robinson, 69, 15 Lambert Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest on a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Person Over Sixty. The charge stems from an incident on October 27 in which Robinson allegedly struck a victim in the hand with a knife during an argument.

A manager of Fresh Pond Parkway business reported a larceny of one or possibly two new iPhones from the store. The theft occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on October 28. The suspect is described as a white female with strawberry blonde and gray hair, thin, mid-40s to 50s, wearing a purple coat, black pants, sneakers, and perfume.

A resident of Somerville reported that his bicycle was stolen while locked to a bike rack on Putnam Avenue between 8:00 p.m. on October 29 and 1:00 a.m. on October 30. The bicycle is described as a blue and silver Specialized Rock Hopper model with a Williams College registration tag.

Officers responded to the area of Shea Road and Locke Street for a report of a hit and run. The reporting party stated that a vehicle came down Kingston Street, struck her vehicle, and then fled down Locke Street. The reporting party did not require medical attention and arranged for her vehicle to be towed.

The reporting party stated that she was walking on Rindge Avenue with her children earlier in the evening when a male driver began cursing at her from his vehicle. The reporting party stated that no direct threats were made, but she wished to report this individual’s aggressive behavior.

Officers responded to Inman Street for a report of a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle door. The cyclist was evaluated on scene by ambulance personnel and did not require medical treatment. The operator of the vehicle was driving for a rideshare company and stated that his passenger opened the rear door without looking while stuck in traffic.

Officers responded to the area of Central Square for a report of a larceny that occurred between approximately 6:20 and 6:58 p.m. The reporting party’s purse was stolen while she was sitting on a bench outside a restaurant. The purse contained makeup, an Android cell phone, and a wallet containing identification, family photos, and approximately $150 in cash.

Officers responded to a Windsor Street residence for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was locked to the inside of a fence in front of the reporting party’s house when it went missing between 6:00 p.m. on October 29 and 8:00 a.m. on October 30. The bicycle is described as a white XDS Cross model with a mock California vanity plate under the seat.

Officers responded to a Raymond Street residence for a report of a burglary. The reporting party stated that his home had been broken into and ransacked, likely between 5:30 and 7:28 p.m. A Nikon camera and lens, a MacBook Pro, a Microsoft tablet, and various pieces of jewelry were found to be missing at this time. The rear door and deadbolt to the residence were damaged.

A resident of Maine reported a breaking and entering to her vehicle that occurred while it was parked on Albany Street between approximately 6:30 and 9:20 p.m. The only item of note the reporting party knows to be missing is a pair of earrings valued at several hundred dollars.

ALBANY STREET

Cambridge Police and Fire units responded to Albany Street in regards to two burning bicycles that appeared to have been set on fire intentionally. The bicycles sustained damage, but the fire did not spread to a nearby building despite the fact that the bicycles were locked to a rack only a few feet from the wall. The investigation is ongoing.
