Officers responded to Technology Square for a report of a hit and run
involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle had stopped
for the pedestrian to utilize the crosswalk, but then continued driving while
the pedestrian was still in the crosswalk. The vehicle struck the pedestrian’s
bag, which made contact with her leg. The pedestrian did not require medical
attention.

had been rear-ended. One passenger was transported to the hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries. No other parties reported injuries, and
neither operator claimed any damage was done to their vehicles from the
crash.

Officers responded to a Central Square business for a report of a shoplifting
in progress. It was further reported that the suspect was fighting the loss
prevention officer who had attempted to stop him from shoplifting. Richard
Wheeler, 58, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for
Unarmed Robbery, and the store employee who was assaulted was transported to
the hospital with minor injuries.

Officers responded to a Cambridge Street business for a report of an
attempted larceny. While driving on Cambridge Street, the reporting party had
noticed a vehicle that had crashed through a fence in a parking lot. When the
reporting party stopped to offer assistance, a man exited the crashed vehicle
and fled. It was discovered that the vehicle belonged to the business that
owned the parking lot. The vehicle was towed for safekeeping.
