A resident of Roberts Road reported two packages stolen from his doorstep. The thefts occurred on December 12 and 14, both between approximately 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

CAMBRIDGESIDE PLACE

Lance Stewart, 51, 17 Court Street in Boston, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation. Stewart was detained by loss prevention officers after exiting a Cambridgeside Place store with merchandise he had not offered payment for. Stolen merchandise from several other nearby businesses was discovered in Stewart’s possession.

Officers responded to a Blackstone Street residence for a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle that occurred between approximately 11:00 p.m. on December 16 and 7:15 a.m. on December 17. An unknown suspect(s) rummaged through the vehicle and stole $30 in cash from the center console.

Lawrence Payne, 58, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Trespass and Threat to Commit a Crime. Payne refused to leave the premises of an Albany Street establishment where he was causing a disturbance. The reporting party stated that Payne had made threats to kill staff members prior to police arrival. While officers were attempting to convince Payne to leave the area willingly, Payne threatened to kill one of the officers.

When the reporting party waved at the suspect driver to alert her to the crash, the suspect driver drove away at a high rate of speed.
