LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)

PROSPECT ST
ECC dispatched CPD to the 200 block of Prospect Street for a report of an ongoing larceny in progress. As officers were responding to the scene, ECC informed officers that a witness to the larceny had confronted the suspect and had him detained. Upon police arrival, police observed two males standing on the sidewalk. As police approached, one male waved towards us and pointed to the other male, later identified as a resident of Cambridge, who stated to police that he had stolen two packages off a nearby front porch of a home on Prospect Street. Officers recovered the torn open packages and stolen items and returned them to the residence. The suspect was then summonsed for two counts of Larceny under $1,200.

Cambridge Police responded to a Massachusetts Avenue store and placed Kevin Johnson, 66, 89 Bethany Road in Framingham, under arrest for a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Possession of a Class B Drug and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Concord Avenue near Madison Street. It was determined that the registered owner/operator of the vehicle had a suspended license. The resident of Brighton was issued a citation in hand as a criminal application for Operating After a Suspended License. The vehicle was legally parked on Concord Avenue and the driver made arrangements for a licensed operator to retrieve it at a later time.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Brattle Square. Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle with no light on the back license plate and the driver was also observed with two headphones in his ears, which is impeded operation. A further investigation revealed the operator identified with a MA ID only and had a suspended driver's license. He also had a warrant out of Somerville District Court for Operating with a Suspended License and Motor Vehicle Lights Violation. Terrell Lee, 33, 51 Francis Street in Everett, was then placed under arrest.

Cambridge Police were deployed to assist the State Police on Poplar Road with an injured coyote. Upon arrival, the Trooper on scene had stated that the coyote was severely injured and suffering. The coyote was dispatched and DPW was contacted to collect the remains.
