BROOKLINE ST
Cambridge Police responded to Brookline Street to investigate a report of a gunshots. A white male in his 20s reportedly fired shots in the air after an altercation occurred inside a nearby restaurant. There were no known victims and there was also no known ballistic evidence or property damage following a preliminary search and investigation.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Springfield Street for a motor vehicle travelling at a speed greater than reasonable. Andrew Butler, 33, East Boston, was subsequently placed under arrest after he was observed operating a motor vehicle on a public way with a suspended license.

Cambridge Police responded to a Bishop Allen Drive residence to document an aggravated assault. A male victim suffered several non-life-threatening stab wounds inside an apartment unit. The male suspect is believed to be known to the victim. The investigation is ongoing.

Merrill Belen, 61, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was arrested for Drinking Alcohol in Public after Officers observed him drinking Vodka while sitting on a bus stop bench located on Mass Ave. at Pearl Street.

Antonio Vieira, 48, 316 Pine Street in Tewksbury, was placed under arrest for OUI Drugs (Marijuana) and an Improper Turn after he was observed operating a vehicle westbound on Hampshire Street and making an improper left turn from Hampshire Street onto Cambridge Street westbound. This intersection is clearly marked with posted signs and painted roadway markings prohibiting left turns. There was a strong odor of marijuana emanating from Vieira's vehicle and person. Vieira admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the morning. Roadside assessments were performed yielding multiple indicators of impairment consistent with marijuana usage.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street. After a brief investigation it was discovered that the owner and operator of the motor vehicle had a warrant out of Boston and two warrants out of Cambridge. As a result, Joy Jarvis, 33, 175 Beacon Street in Somerville, was placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Monsignor O'Brien Highway and a hotel for a report of an assault in progress. The reporting party/victim was struck in the head, with a closed fist, by an unknown male party. Responding Units canvassed the area in an attempt to locate a suspect with negative results. The victim refused medical attention.

Cambridge Police responded to Cambridgepark Drive for a report of a hit and run with a pedestrian. As a result, one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
