Brian Mewa, 43, of 98 Kings Hill Drive in Lynn, was arrested on a warrant out of Brighton District Court for Disorderly Conduct. Mewa was arrested because he matched the description of a suspect who shoplifted speakers from a nearby business establishment on JFK Street in Cambridge. While speaking with Mewa, stolen merchandise was observed in plain view in an open bag between Mewa's feet.

A Cambridge resident was summoned to Cambridge District Court for violating by-law ordinance for drinking in public. The defendant was observed by officers take a very large swig from a plastic flask bottle of alcohol inside of a local restaurant on Massachusetts Avenue. The restaurant does not serve alcohol and he was not a paying customer.

Cambridge Police responded to a store on Cambridgeside Place for a report of an individual Shoplifting. The store’s Loss Prevention officials had a Boston Resident held with recovered items. A subsequent check of the individual's identification yielded several default warrants out of Roxbury District Court. The individual, Anthony Chambers, 62, 39 Kingston Street in Roxbury, was arrested on the warrants and additionally charged with Shoplifting by Concealment.

Rachel Losordo, 30, 9 Grogan Avenue of Quincy, was arrested and charged with Larceny Over $1200. Losordo was observed by loss prevention personnel cutting a wristlet off of one purse and putting a second purse into her own purse. Both purses that were being stolen had a combined value of $2,299.98.

Cambridge Police responded with Cambridge Fire in front of Massachusetts Avenue for the report of an unidentifiable article that was on fire. When Police arrived, the item had already been extinguished. Police spoke to a witness, but they did not see anyone in the area that may have lit the item on fire. The item was roughly 5 feet away from a business on the sidewalk. There was no damage to surrounding property.

A group of 2 -3 females used a credit card to bill almost $900 of food and merchandise to a card without enough balance to cover the charges. The females checked out before the hotel could process the charges, and utilized third party billing sites to mask their identity.

ELIOT ST
Thomas Davis, 27 of 30 Obierne Street in Roxbury, was placed under arrest for possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug. Davis was stopped by police and detained relative to an instance that had just occurred minutes earlier. His vehicle was located parked illegally and a tow was summonsed to its location. A tow inventory search of his motor vehicle revealed three bags filled with a substance consistent with Marijuana. Paraphernalia consistent with distribution of the substance was found in the vehicle. Subsequent to the interview, seized from Davis was $1571 cash currency. He was placed into police custody for the aforementioned charge.
