Upon further investigation, it was determined that one of the parties, identified as Juan Jimenez, 38, 7 Temple Street, had an active arrest warrant. Cambridge Police placed Jimenez under arrest, and the other individual was sent on their way.

Cambridge Police summonsed a Cambridge resident for one charge of Assault and Battery. Cambridge Police responded to Graffiti Alley for a report of a fight. After an investigation, it was determined that the suspect punched the victim in the face after an argument over liquor. The victim suffered a laceration to his face/lip and was transported via ambulance to the hospital.

Garrick P. Murphy, 37, of 51 Reservoir Street, was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor and other traffic violations. He was observed operating a motor vehicle on a public way at a speed greater than reasonable and in violation of the citywide speed limit of 25 M.P.H. Once stopped, he was observed showing signs of impairment and was unable to produce a driver’s license or a motor vehicle registration during the interaction.

Upon arrival it was learned that store staff had stopped a white male attempting to steal $319.65 in personal hygiene products. The male fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, however information from store staff allowed officers to tentatively identify the involved party.

Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle speeding and breaking other traffic violations. Officers ran a report and found that the vehicles registration was revoked. The vehicle operator was issued a MA Uniform Citation which was marked criminal complaint. The vehicle was towed.

RINDGE AVE
Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Rindge Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash into a building. A witness told officers the motor vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed from Massachusetts Avenue onto Rindge Avenue, causing it to lose control and crash over a sidewalk, through a fence and into another parked motor vehicle. After an investigation, the operator will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for one count of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
