Cambridge Police arrested Paul Ullman, 51, homeless, for Malicious Destruction of Property. Police were called to Ellery Street for a report of vandalism to numerous vehicles parked on the street. Two named witnesses observed the defendant ripping license plates off of a vehicle. One of the witnesses took a photo of the defendant and the other chased him away. After an investigation, damage was found to 14 vehicles parked on the street, consisting of mostly bent license plates, license plates ripped/broken off from the vehicles, and windshield wipers broken/ripped of the vehicles. Police located the defendant in the area and conducted a threshold inquiry. After the defendant was read his Miranda rights, he agreed to speak to police and subsequently admitted to purposely damaging vehicles.

Cambridge police responded to the intersection of Green Street and Western Ave for a report of an assault in progress. John Yobaccio, 52, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest after a witness provided video of him punching another man in the head several times, knocking him down to the ground, and then kicking him in the face with a shod foot. Yobaccio was taken into custody and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

MAGAZINE ST
Cambridge Police arrested Jean Junior Nelson, 39, 73 Magazine Street in Cambridge, for OUI-Liquor. Police were called to Magazine Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles. Named witnesses observed the defendant, while driving his vehicle northbound on Magazine Street, hit a parked car at the intersection with Upton Street. After the crash, witnesses observed the defendant stumble out of his vehicle 2-3 times prior to police arrival. Upon arrival, Officers observed the defendant standing near his vehicle, which still had its engine running. Officers observed a heavy smell of alcoholic beverage emanating from the defendant's breath and person. The defendant's eyes were glassy and bloodshot and he had slurred speech. The defendant had a difficult time standing while interacting with officers, could not walk straight, and had to use the rear of his vehicle for support. The defendant had trouble answering simple questions and following simple directions.
