Vanessa Lebarca, 45, homeless was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Breaking and Entering during the daytime with intent to commit a felony and trespassing.

BROADWAY
German Mendez-Castillo, 29, 63 Nyack Street in Watertown was arrested and charged OUI Liquor, Marked Lanes Violation, and Operated MV with license suspension. Police responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Broadway for a motor vehicle accident. Castillo admitted to operating the motor vehicle and consuming 3-4 beers prior to the accident. Castillo had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. An Officer performed field sobriety testing and observed multiple indicators of impairment consistent with alcohol consumption. Castillo was arrested at that time.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., Cambridge Police Detectives spoke with Jonathan Denning, 24, homeless in Harvard Square. He was placed under arrest after detectives were made aware of 2 warrants for Denning; one out of a Lowell District Court for failure to appear to Jury Duty and one out of a Somerville District Court for Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Class D Substance, and Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle.

LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
At approximately 9:20PM, Cambridge Police responded to a local pharmacy on White Street to take a report for a past hit and run and property damage. The reporting party alleged that the suspect purposefully struck his vehicle and fled down Massachusetts Avenue towards North Cambridge. A short time later, the suspect contacted Cambridge Police stating he was the involved party in that particular motor vehicle incident. He put the blame on the reporting party and knowingly refused to return to the scene of the accident. Subsequently, the suspect Matthew Sullivan, 21, 103 Gray Street was charged with Leaving the Scene of Property Damage.
