A Winchester resident reported on 9/10/2019 between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. a 2018 Mazda was parked in the parking lot of a local shopping center. When she returned to the motor vehicle it was found to have been struck by an unknown motor vehicle which fled the scene without making them self-known. She reported damage to the left rear driver’s side of the motor vehicle.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the Cambridge Police took a report for identity theft.

At approximately 3:38 p.m., Cambridge Police Officers responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue (Central Square) for an active disturbance. Upon arrival Officers were advised by multiple witnesses that someone had struck a named victim in the face and back with a metal pipe. Officers spoke with the victim who was on scene and observed her face to be red and swollen. The victim stated that he had hit her in the face and back with a pipe. Matthew Henebury, 48, 70 Boston Street in Somerville was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (metal pipe) and for a warrant out of Somerville District Court for Larceny Under $1200.

LOWELL ST
5:49 p.m., Cambridge Police were conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Mt. Auburn Street and Lowell Street when a white Volvo attempted to make a left hand turn here but made eye contact with an officer and proceeded to make a left turn from Mt Auburn Street onto Gibson Street. These streets are time restricted for left turns from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The vehicle was stopped and the operator was found to not have a valid Massachusetts license, a suspend Connecticut license as well as expired. The operator, a Cambridge resident, was then summoned for the violations of a sign violation, operating unlicensed and operating after suspension of license. The vehicle was towed.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Cambridge Police took a report of a stolen bicycle.

DRUG, DISTRIBUTE CLASS B, c94C S32A(b)

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
At approximately 7 p.m., members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Keith Sanders, 57, 820 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge and charged him with Distribution of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine). Also arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine) was Ibrahim Olanrewaju, 29, 240 Albany Street in, Cambridge. Detectives observed the two engage in a suspected drug transaction in front of the Central Square Post Office. Once stopped, Olanrewaju was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine which he admitted to purchasing from Sanders. Sanders was also stopped and placed under arrest.
