At 11:50 a.m., security at a local apartment complex reported that on 9/12/2019 their security video captured a male suspect, who had parked inside building's garage without authority. The suspect damaged the garage's exit gate after the suspect forcibly pushed gate arm against its normal operating motion.

At 2:15 p.m., an Inman Street resident reported that on 9/12 he was 'scammed' out of thousands of dollars after receiving an unsolicited phone call from some suspects, portraying themselves to be representatives from the Social Security Administration Office, who demanded money in order to clear some bogus warrants.

A Brockton resident reported that she left her purse in a friend’s car while parked on Education Street. An unknown person(s) stole her purse from the unlocked vehicle on 9/12/2019 between 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. The purse contained a Massachusetts ID, personal cards, a book and $5.

After an investigation, it was determined that a suspect approached two victims and demanded money from them, while reaching in his pocket as if he was armed with a weapon. Police conducted a search of the area for the suspect to no avail.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Cambridge Police responded to the area of Mt. Auburn Street to check the well-being of a motorist that a Harvard University Police Officer had located asleep in the driver's seat of a running car. The male in the driver’s seat exhibited numerous indications of impairment and verbally admitted to drinking several alcoholic beverages. Based on our observations of hi  and the fact that he was in the driver's seat of a running motor vehicle on a public way the driver  identified as Edirson Correia, 24, 115 Pacific Street in Cambridge, was arrested for OUI - Liquor.
