Cambridge Police issued a summons to a Somerville resident for Operating a Vehicle With a Suspended Registration and Improper Left Turn. Officers observed her make an improper left turn (posted sign) in her vehicle from Massachusetts Avenue onto Prospect Street, both public ways in the City of Cambridge. Officers conducted a stop on the motor vehicle and, after a query, discovered that her vehicle's registration was suspended.

At 3:19 a.m. Cambridge Police responded to a Franklin Street residence for a report of a disturbance. It was determined that a suspect wearing a mask threw an  unknown object through one of the residence's windows and then fled the area.

A Cambridge resident was summonsed to court for operating her motor vehicle with an expired license and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. This was after the operator of the vehicle she struck took a photograph of her vehicle after she struck him and was fleeing the scene.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations arrested Robert Powers, 56, 165 Western Avenue in Cambridge, and charged him with Distribution of a Class A Substance (Heroin). Also arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin) was Gregory Gales, 47, 10 Cawfield Street in Boston. Detectives on surveillance in the area of Western Avenue and Franklin Street observed the two engage in a suspected drug transaction. Once stopped, Gales was found to be in possession of a package of suspected heroin. Powers was also stopped and found to be in possession of money consistent with the amount of suspected heroin Gales had in his possession. A subsequent field test using a ThermoScientific TruNarc Analyzer of the suspected heroin recovered from Gales yielded a positive reaction for heroin.

At approximately 4:57 p.m., Cambridge Police responded to Albany Street for reports of a breaking and entering in progress. Amanda Jones, 31, 139 Forrest Street in Weymouth, was subsequently placed under arrest after a named and identified witness observed Jones enter a dwelling of which she has no right of access and attempt to take possession of a bicycle which does not belong to her. Jones was charged with Breaking and Entering in the Daytime for a Felony.
