Officers responded to JFK Street for a report of a person with a gun. Chayanne Velazquez, 28, 71 Elm Hill Avenue in Dorchester, and Stephanie Ford, 25, 34 Hanover Street in Lynn, were arrested in Central Square following a search of a described suspect. A loaded firearm was located in a backpack carried by Ford and crack cocaine was found in her possession. Velazquez was arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Threat to Commit a Crime, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, and Possession to Distribute a Class B Drug. Ford was arrested for Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, and Possession of a Class B Drug. A Dorchester resident was summonsed to Cambridge District Court after video surveillance captured him shoplifting from a department store. He was captured removing and concealing two boxes of perfume valued at $145 each from a sales counter and passing all points of sales.

A pedestrian states that while crossing Church Street, a motor vehicle drove close to the pedestrian, who then confronted the driver of the motor vehicle and they exchanged words. The pedestrian approached the motor vehicle while the operator was sitting in the motor vehicle. The operator punched the pedestrian in the chest and then drove away. The pedestrian was not injured.
