ELMER ST
An Elmer Street resident reports that he was burglarized after he wake up and noticed his wallet and cell phone were missing from his apartment. Doors to apartment were left unlocked the night prior to theft and there were no signs of any forced entry.

ELM ST
Officers were dispatched to an Elm Street address for a report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, responding officers spoke with one of the parties in question involved along with the victim where they learned the victim was intimidated by three individuals who were outside of this address. The victim states she has had previous physical encounters with these individuals in question in the past.

CANAL PK
Officers responded for a suspect removing several tags from clothing items outside a mall. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the items were stolen from an establishment inside the mall. Timothy Parker, 40, 1676 Beacon Street in Brookline, was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

A Brockton resident reported the loss, or possible theft, of her cell phone. The initial loss occurred on January 25, 2020 at 1:45 a.m. The suspect then used her phone to access her Venmo account and entice people to send money. The suspect received over $1700 over a 24-hour period.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police conducted a traffic stop after officers observed a motor vehicle fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street. A resident of Malden was identified as the operator of the vehicle and after investigation it was discovered that he was currently operating with a suspended license. For his actions, they are being summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Operating after Suspension and Failure to Stop.

An Ashland resident reported a past hit and run crash with property damage to their motor vehicle. The damage occurred while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in a mall parking lot.

CAMBRIDGESIDE PL
Cambridge Police responded to a department store after loss prevention observed Hector Rivera, 50, 39 Boylston Street in Boston, take store merchandise into his possession and pass all points of purchase without making any attempt to pay for the items. Loss prevention was able to put a stop on Rivera and requested Cambridge Police to respond. As a result of these facts, it was determined probable cause existed to place Rivera under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation and Trespass.

A Dorchester resident reported the theft of several credit cards. A suspect then used the cards to make several fraudulent purchases at various Cambridge businesses later in the evening. The charges would total over $3,800.

Cambridge Police responded to Union Street for reports of an attempted assault. A male suspect was positively identified, and a report was generated regarding the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
