An off-duty Cambridge Police Officer located two individuals that Detectives were looking to identify with regard to previous criminal activity. Additional officers responded to assist. As a result of the encounter, Brett Barrett, 29, and Deena Lacorte, 28, both of 23 Dexter Street in South Boston, were placed under arrest. Barrett was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, Removing a Motor Vehicle's VIN, Possession of Class A (Fentanyl) and Possession of Class B (Crystal Methamphetamine). LaCorte was arrested for four warrants.

A Third St. resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of having an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on a Public Way, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failing to Report a Change of Address to the RMV. The violations were discovered after the vehicle was found to be illegally parked in a tow zone.

As a result of the police response, Cambridge Police placed Steven Thomas, 32, 3 Alberta Dr. in Saugus, under arrest for a warrant issued out of Middlesex Superior Court for Breaking and Entering during the Daytime for Felony, Possession of Class A Substance, , Possession of Class E Substance, Possession of Class B Substance, and Resisting Arrest.
