On Sunday, May 31, 2020, at approximately 7:09pm, Cambridge Police responded to Memorial Drive in the area of Massachusetts Avenue for a motor vehicle crash with injury. The operator of the involved motor cycle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The operator of the SUV left the scene but was located a short time later by MIT Police. A report was taken and both parties information was provided to the other.

Police responded to the area of Holyoke and Mass Ave. for a report of a man down. During a brief investigation, a clear sandwich bag, which contained a white powdery substance was seen sticking out of the defendant’s pants pocket. A further search of his person resulted in multiple denominations of small and large bills, in three different folds shoved in his pocket as well as multiple pills without a prescription.

Adreana Sam, 36, homeless, was arrested and charged with Witness Intimidation and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. Sam assaulted the victim multiple times, striking her multiple times with objects. Sam, while in the presence of police, threatened bodily harm to the victim due to her calling the police. Sam also had a warrant issued out of Wrentham District Court for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
