Police were dispatched to the area of Green Street for a report of an attempted larceny. Two suspects were seen leaving the area, and they were subsequently stopped and identified. Items believed to have been stolen from the victim were also recovered in the possession of the two suspects. The suspects will be summoned pending further investigation.

A Cambridge Police cruiser was flagged down on Cambridge St. for a disturbance between two males. It was learned that one male suspected the other of stealing a wallet. The second party was found to be in possession of the missing wallet. This individual then punched a uniformed Cambridge Police Officer with a closed fist during the interaction. As a result, they will be summonsed to Cambridge District Count on charges of Larceny from a Person and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.

Two Cambridge residents, Clarck Jean, 18, 5 Temple St., and Graig Smith, 18, 243 Garden St., were arrested and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle. Police responded to assist a Somerville resident who called stating they’d observed the pair driving in their stolen car. Jean, who was driving, was also charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Cambridge Police arrested Kyle Raniere, 23, 1 Yarmouth Pl., Boston, for interfering with a police investigation. Raniere ignored numerous requests from police officers and involved citizens to maintain a reasonable distance from an active investigation. Raniere had no involvement in the investigation but continued to insert himself, his behavior was clearly agitating a cooperative suspect and making another involved party extremely uncomfortable as they sought assistance from officers.
