A Cambridge resident called CPD to report that he was being harassed by several people. This all started in January when he loaned a woman that lives in the same building $50. She began asking for more every week until he had to say no more loans. Since he refused to lend her any more money, she and her daughter's boyfriend have been threatening and harassing him via the internet and in person.

The resident let the man into the building where he took pictures of the basement and left. The resident later spoke with other residents of the building and none of them admitted calling about a leak or a clog.

An Elm Street resident reported being scammed out $1020 for a rental property. The victim paid a security deposit for a property on Florence Street. After paying the deposit and not receiving the keys as agreed upon, the victim contacted Zillow, who informed the victim that the property was currently under agreement to be sold and not rented.

A Cambridge resident reported an attempted identity theft on July 31, 2020 at approximately 4:40 p.m. She received an automated message stating her Social Security Number had been compromised. She did not respond believing it was a scam. She continued to receive up to five or six more calls over the course of two days. She reported it to the police because her credit score had sudden drop of over 100 points. She believes her identity may have been stolen.
