MASSACHUSETTS AVE
A Boston resident was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for shoplifting by concealment. He was caught by lost prevention staff at a local business on Massachusetts Avenue putting items in his pocket and then exiting the store without payment. Officers later positively identified him after lost prevention staff wanted to move forward with charges.

A resident of Harvard Street reports that their locked Schwinn hybrid bike, valued at $200, was stolen from a shed that is located in the rear of its residence. It was last seen between 8/23/20 at 3 p.m. and 8/28/20 at 12 p.m.

A female resident of Brattle Street reports her Black Cannondale bike was stolen on 8/31/2020. The bike was left unlocked in the driveway of the residence.

THIRD ST
Two Cambridge residents reported a fraud involving their joint bank account. A suspect had deposited a fraudulent check worth $10,000 sometime around August 22 into an account. The funds were withdrawn before the fraud was discovered. The bank has since held the victim's other funds until the matter is resolved.

IRVING ST
A resident of Irving Street reports that it was scammed of $7,800 cash. It received a phone call from a person claiming to be his grandson’s attorney. The attorney requested a cash payment for bail. The cash was sent via UPS.

A resident of Somerville reported her black Decathlon bike was stolen on 9/01/2020. The bike was left locked to a bike rack in Technology Square in Cambridge at 2:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. it was gone.
