A resident of Cambridge states an unknown person called her cell phone claiming to work for a security company in Texas. This person stated he was investigating two criminal cases against her and she needed to wire money to him to have the charges dropped. The Cambridge resident realized she was being scammed so she did not wire the money to the caller.

Cambridge Police responded to Porter Square train station and placed Phillip Leblanc, 40, 4 Light Street, in Lynn under arrest for a warrant issued out of Lynn District Court for assault and battery and assault and battery on a disabled person over 60 years old as well as a warrant out of Salem District Court for drug possession Class A substance.
