Cambridge Police responded to the area of Charles and Sixth Streets for a larceny report after a resident stated groceries were taken off their front steps.

TECHNOLOGY SQ
Joshua Almeida, 30, 26 Saint Casimir Avenue in Brockton, was arrested for Trespassing and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Almedia was trespassed from a Technology Square building by security on 12/8/2020 at 12:15 a.m. He then returned to that same location at 7:40 a.m., so security confronted Almedia a second time. Security ordered Almeida to leave the property, but Almeida refused the order and pulled a knife from his pocket. Almeida held the knife, pointed it at a Security Officer and told Security Officer that he was not going to leave. Officers responded and took him into custody and recovered the folding knife.

A Belmont resident reported hit-and-run damage to his motor vehicle on December 8, 2020 at approximately 3 p.m. The victim’s vehicle was struck while parked at a parking lot at Fresh Pond sometime around 2 p.m. A passerby left a note with the registration number of the vehicle that struck his car.

A Cambridge resident reported the theft of a bicycle on December 8, 2020 at approximately 3:40 p.m. She believes the bike was stolen from a backyard shed sometime between November 21-November 25, 2020. The stolen bike was a gold specialized mountain bike with black lettering.

AMES ST
An Ames Street resident reported the theft of her laptop. The victim had sold her MacBook Air laptop on the Offer Up application on December 2, 2020 for $600. After it had been shipped, the victim found out that the suspect had paid with a fraudulent PayPal account.
