A loss prevention officer from a Cambridge-based business called CPD Teleserve to report a passed shoplifting occurred on Monday. Several hundred dollars’ worth of liquor was taken.

An Everett resident called CPD Teleserve to report a theft that occurred in Cambridge back in December. The initial theft led directly to a much larger theft that occurred on the same date.

Officers responded to a local hospital to take James Blake, 28, 33 Pine Island Road in Mattapoisett, for a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for the charges of Strangulation, Assault to Maim, and Threats to Commit Crime. Blake was taken into custody without incident.

BROADWAY
Cambridge Police responded to a minor motor vehicle crash that occurred on Broadway (a public way owned and maintained by the city of Cambridge) to assist with the paper exchange. As a result of this call, officers learned that the operator, a resident of Brighton will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Operating without a License.
