Cambridge Police responded to Cambridge Street for reports of a past breaking and entering.

RESERVOIR ST
Cambridge Police responded to Reservoir Street for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. After arriving on scene, Officers found Shaquel Nelson, 27, 700 Huron Avenue in Cambridge, sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle. Nelson was asked what he was doing this evening and began being evasive in his answers. Eventually, Nelson stated that he was at a restaurant and had three drinks. Nelson had slurred speech, glossy eyes, and was unsteady on his feet. Additionally, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was present when talking to Nelson. He was then placed under arrest and charged with OUI Liquor and Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

GREEN ST
Cambridge Police Officers while on routine patrol in the Central Square area initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Western Avenue and Green Street. The motor vehicle in question was observed obstructing a posted taxi stand, which ultimately led to an inquiry of a vehicle, resulting in a revoked registration status. The motor vehicle stop was conducted without incident. The motor vehicle in question was towed and the driver was issued a Massachusetts Uniform Citation for a Criminal Application.

While en route to this motor vehicle crash, ECC updated responding units that the operator of the motor vehicle involved fled the scene and parked the motor vehicle involved inside a Main Street address. A Springfield resident was ultimately located and summonsed for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, and Receiving Stolen Property $1,200.

It was learned that an unknown male had entered the store, concealed a product and then physically assaulted a staff member who attempted to stop him from leaving. The staff member was transported to the hospital by EMS for an injury sustained.
