A Cambridge resident reported an issue regarding identity theft. A suspect using his phone number and other personal information tried to apply for unemployment benefits this week. Whether or not the suspect obtained financial benefits on either occasion is unknown at this time.

A Spring Street resident reported a break-in to his motor vehicle. A suspect entered his car sometime between 8:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. Items were strewn about the interior of the motor vehicle, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

A Medford resident reported a break-in to his motor vehicle. A suspect entered the victim's vehicle sometime overnight while it was parked in a driveway on Thorndike Street. Cash and a gift card were taken during the incident.

A New Hampshire resident reported a break-in to a motor vehicle. A suspect broke into her father's car sometime between July 4, 2021 and July 14, 2021. There did not appear to be any forced entry. Some expired medication was a taken and there may have been an attempt to hot-wire the vehicle.

Christopher Hunt, 37, homeless of Cambridge, was arrested for Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle, Disorderly Conduct, Sex Offender Fail to Register, Assault and Battery on Ambulance Personnel, and a warrant out of Boston District Court. Christopher Hunt was observed by witnesses blocking traffic while yelling at motor vehicles on the road, he then proceeded to kick and damage two motor vehicles that were actively operating on the road. In the process of transporting Hunt to the hospital, he kicked an ambulance personnel while barefoot. Subsequently it was learned that Hunt had failed to register as a sex offender and had warrants.
