GARDEN ST
As a result of a motor vehicle stop, the Cambridge Police issued a criminal application against a resident of Everett for Operating after a Suspended License, Operating after a Suspended Registration, and Operating on a Restricted Way. The operator was stopped by a uniformed patrol officer after being observed taking an improper right turn off of Massachusetts Ave and traveling the wrong direction down a one way segment of Waterhouse Street.

Cambridge Police took a report for a stolen wallet. The victim stated his vehicle was broken into and his wallet was stolen in the Central Square area some time over the last couple of days. The victim's credit card was used multiple times at various stores in the Central Square area.

HAMPSHIRE ST
Jason DeCosta, 33, 88 East Newton Street in Boston, was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit a Crime (Larceny Over $1,200). A witness observed DeCosta sit on a motor scooter and attempt to rock it off of its kickstand. When confronted, DeCosta ran from the area and was later located by Cambridge Police. He was found to have a warrant out of West Roxbury District Court.

Cambridge Police arrested Christopher Ellsworth, 47, homeless, for Attempting to Commit a Crime after he demanded an employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business to open the register and give him the money from the register. He failed to escape with any money. Ellsworth also had ten outstanding warrants out of several counties across Massachusetts.

Cambridge Police officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Essex Street after observing a motor vehicle unoccupied and idling in the bike lane on Massachusetts Ave. An investigation learned that the owner/operator currently had a Massachusetts Driver’s license status of suspended.
