Cambridge Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a report of an unarmed robbery. The victim, who refused medical attention, and suspect were identified.

HAMPSHIRE ST
Cambridge Police received a report of silver SUV operating recklessly while traveling northbound on Hampshire Street. The vehicle was located at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Hampshire Street. The operator was identified as Luzmarie Marrero, 30, 6209 Avalon Drive in Randolph. Marrero displayed glossy eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverage. Marrero was also given Standard Field Sobriety Tests and it was ultimately determined that she was under the influence of alcohol. An open bottle of Patron tequila was also discovered in Marrero's motor vehicle. Marrero is being charged in Cambridge District Court with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.

A Boston resident reported the theft of her backpack on September 25, 2021 at approximately 9:45 a.m. The victim was inside a restaurant in Harvard Square last evening between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. During that time, a suspect stole her bag from off of her chair or from the floor. The bag contained her MacBook Pro laptop and a pair of Beats headphones.

A Tremont Street resident reported the theft of his bicycle on September 25, 2021 at approximately 2:15 p.m. He had chained it to a bike stand near the War Memorial Pool on Cambridge Street at 7:30 a.m. When he returned to it at 1:30 p.m., he found the lock had been cut and his bike stolen. The bike was a black Specialized Tri-Cross road bike with silver accents.

The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) dispatched the Cambridge Police to the Cambridge Side Place for a male that was stabbed after an apparent road rage incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a single stab wound to his lower right side of his stomach. The suspect reportedly drove away from the area following the stabbing.

A Cambridge Police officer observed a disturbance at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street. During the altercation, the officer observed Mario Morelus, 57, 77 Bishop Allen Drive of Cambridge, hold and raise a glass beer bottle in a menacing way, which caused a victim to believe that he would be struck with it. Morelus is being charged in Cambridge District Court Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Cambridge Police responded to a residence on Columbia Terrace for a report of a person stabbed and the suspect fleeing the area. On scene, Officers located Jada Perry, 19, 47 Chelsea Street in Everett, and a victim known to her with stab wounds within their apartment building. Perry was arrested and is charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Murder and Home Invasion. The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries.

A Cambridge Police Officer observed a James Downey, 57, 20 Merriam Street in Somerville, asleep behind the wheel of his motor vehicle at the intersection of 5th Street and Cambridge Street while intoxicated. During investigation, it was discovered that Downey was currently in possession of a class B drug. Downey is being charged in Cambridge District Court with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of a Class B Drug.
