Cambridge Police responded to a shoplifting from a Central Square pharmacy. Dean Robinson, 58, 39 Boylston Street in Boston, was stopped and questioned for matching the suspect description. After an altercation in which Robinson attacked Officers, he was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise, Wanton Destruction of Property -$1,200 and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon (folding knife). He also had a warrant out of Roxbury District Court for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

A Lambert Street resident was struck in the head with an open hand by an unknown black male. The victim was walking on Cambridge Street when he witnessed the suspect urinating in the park. The victim asked the suspect what he was doing. The suspect walked towards the victim and struck him in the side of the head. The suspect walked away on Cambridge Street towards Lechmere station.
