Cambridge Police documented a hit and run of property damage to a motor vehicle that occurred on Trowbridge Street.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police placed Ray Johnson, 39, 112 Southampton Street in Boston, under arrest for shoplifting, trespassing, and two counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer. Johnson walked out of a local business in Central Square without paying for 12 items. Police quickly spotted Johnson across the street from the business and stopped her. She refused to comply with officers and was asked to return the items to the store, but refused. Johnson was then placed in handcuffs for officer safety. An officer then went back to the business with the bag of items to investigate. The Lost Prevention Manager of the store indicated that all of the items in the bag were from their store and that Johnson exited the store without paying. The Lost Prevention Manager then provided security surveillance of Johson shoplifting and exiting the store without paying. At this time, this officer went back to meet the other officers and Johnson and placed her under arrest for shoplifting. While waiting for the transport wagon, Johnson spit on an officer and kicked a different officer in the chest as she was getting into the transport wagon. At the police station, during the booking process, it was discovered that Johnson had warrants out of Boston District Court for Trespassing, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Malicious Destruction of Property +$1,200, Disorderly Conduct, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and out of Cambridge District Court for Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Receiving Stolen Property -$1,200, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Threat to Commit a Crime, Shoplifting by Concealing and Shoplifting by Asportation.

Cambridge Police received a phone call from an individual reporting a past hit and run with property damage. According to the reporting party, their motor vehicle was struck while parked and unoccupied in a Concord Avenue parking lot at approximately 1:30 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

On Wednesday March 30, 2022, at approximately 5:07 PM, Cambridge Police received a phone call from an individual reporting a past trespassing in the area of Kendall Square. According to the reporting party, who is a security guard for the property, a known individual - who has been previously trespassed - was seen on property at approximately 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 30, 2022. Additionally, the reporting party stated that the suspect was recorded via security cameras on the property. See narrative for further details.

A resident of Everett was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and uninsured motor vehicle after the motor vehicle was observed traveling 44 mph in a 25 mph zone on Cambridge Street just before Massachusetts Avenue. The operator was also cited for failing to update their address to the RMV.
