John Morgan, 26, 387 Meridian Street in Boston, was arrested in the 700 block of Massachusetts Avenue and charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Armed Career Criminal, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon – Firearm, and Assault and Battery. Morgan was involved in an altercation outside of a facility on Green Street where he punched and pulled a gun on an individual. Morgan was stopped a short distance away. After an investigation, it was determined that Morgan removed a loaded 9MM firearm and discarded it in a trash barrel in front of a restaurant. The firearm was recovered after a brief search.
